After weeks of wondering why in the world America keeps voting for Sanjaya, I was actually surprised to finally see him go. It seems that year after year the contest looses a number of the really good contestants in the beginning of the show. And there is always that one or two that seem to hang in there despite their lack of talent. One of those in the past was our very own Jasmine Trias. Jasmine has gone on to make a good career for herself in the Philippines and Japan. Good for her. But she was certainly out of her league while on the show and stayed on far longer than some other much more talented contestants (Jennifer Hudson, anyone?)
In the end, America gets it right and selects a very talented individual. I just wish some of the better ones would stay until the end.
